NewVolunteerNight13

Friday night saw many of our new summer volunteers gather at Knock Presbyterian in Belfast for our New Volunteer Training Night. We had prepared a night of worship, short talks and training seminars to explain more about SUNI and how they can make the best of their summer experience.

All our new volunteers have to complete this induction and if you were unable to attend the evening you should of received an email explaining how to complete your induction online. You can find out more information here. Induction must be completed by Monday 29 April.

UNITED IN THE CAPITAL

Saturday 9 March saw over 500 young people from all over Northern Ireland arrive at Belfast City Hall for SUNI Schools’ ‘UNITE In The Capital’. UNITE is an annual event, normally held in each of SUNI’s seven E3 Schools’ Project Districts – Antrim, Ballymena, Bangor, East Antrim, East Belfast, Fermanagh and North Coast. This year however they were combined into one BIG event in the Capital. The night had music from The Secret Room, Desert Voice Calling and DJ PTKY. Sarah Kernohan (SUNI Intern) and Phil Howe (SUNI Secondary Schools’ Worker) hosted the night with words from Andrew McCourt from CFC Belfast.
