I’m a church leader
What information do you hold?
We hold contact details for most church leaders in Northern Ireland (name, address, phone number, email, church name). If you have engaged with SUNI in the past you may have given us this contact information yourself. Alternatively, your contact details may have come from the public domain (e.g. denominational directories/websites or church websites).
Why do you need this information?
We use this information to keep in touch with church leaders about the work of SUNI. We send regular mailings so that church leaders and their congregations are aware of the opportunities there are to be involved in camps & missions and local schools work and to keep church leaders informed about SUNI work and events relating to their local areas. Most church leaders appreciate knowing about these opportunities and being able to share these with their congregations. However, if you would prefer not to receive these mailings then you can ask us to stop contacting you at any time by emailing (firstname.lastname@example.org) phoning (028 9045 4806) or by writing to us (Data Team, SUNI, 157 Albertbridge Road, BELFAST, BT5 4PS).
Who do you share my information with and how do you keep it secure?
Your personal information is held securely on the Filemaker database on our secure, encrypted server and is only accessed by relevant, passworded staff as necessary. We sometimes use MailChimp to send emails in which case your name and email address will be uploaded via their website. (For more information on Filemaker and Mailchimp see our Third Parties section)
For how long do you retain my data?
We will keep your data for as long as we think you are a church leader. You can ask us to stop mailing you at any time.
