Our Camps have been running for many years in Northern Ireland. Each Camp runs a different programme that is uniquely tailored for the age group at camp. A brief outline of the typical activities for each camp can be viewed in our 2025 eBooklet. This will give a flavour of what the camp looks like and may be subject to change.
Campers will be encouraged to give all activities “a go” but our leaders will never ask them to participate if they do not want to.
Activities are planned with safety and enjoyment in mind, in line with SUNI’s policies on Safeguarding, Health and Safety and GDPR (copies are available on request).
You will receive an email confirmation as receipt of your booking and payment of the deposit. Within 2 weeks, you will receive an email from the Camp Leader/Secretary who will guide you on the process to pay remaining balances. They will also ask you for further information about your camper.
All camps are staffed by volunteers who are approved by SUNI. Teams of volunteers work under the supervision of voluntary Team Leaders who are carefully selected for their leadership abilities and experience, and appointed to their role by the Council of SUNI. Volunteers are trained according to SUNI’s procedures for Safeguarding children and young people; covering Health and Safety, Child Protection, and for nominated volunteers, a qualification in First Aid. GDPR Procedures are shared with all volunteers.
All SU Camps have a fee attached. SU Camps are not run for profit, and all those who attend, including volunteers, share expenses. We try to charge as little as possible for each camp, however, we never want finance to be a barrier. Therefore, a Sponsorship Fund is available. For more information and to request sponsorship, please contact us confidentially.
Each camp has it’s own email account for corresponding with parents/ guardians. Please check your emails regularly, including your junk mail folder and add suni.co.uk to your ‘safe sender’ list. Camp Leaders will contact all families directly to confirm booking, provide camp schedules and kit lists and to ask parents/guardians to complete a Consent and Medical Form, via JotForm.
All SUNI Camps are covered by a Public Liability (3rd Party) Insurance Policy. Please note that some activities listed may change due to insurance restrictions unknown at the time of this publication. In addition to the insurance cover that we provide, we advise everyone to take out cover against personal accident, cancellation and illness.
We really hope your experience of SU Camps & Missions is a great one! However, if there is a problem we would like to know as soon as possible so we can do our best to put it right.
